Working Together to Meet your Child's Feeding and Developmental Needs

How can occupational therapy help your child?
Occupational Therapy helps children of all ages gain foundational skills needed to participate in everyday activities with greater independence
Every child is unique and engages with their environment through their own experiences and abilities. Occupational therapy takes a dynamic approach in viewing the whole child, environment, and task at hand to determine barriers that may make "everyday activities" not-so-easy for an infant or child. From eating and feeding, getting dressed, playing, sleeping, and everything in between, Grow With Me OT will teach your child skills to work through areas of need while promoting successful participation in routine tasks. Grow With Me OT is here to promote independence with self care, play, and leisure activities with the parent and child as active partners in this process.

I am excited to welcome you and your family to Grow With Me.

My baby and I started working with Jaclyn when she was struggling to nurse efficiently at 4 months. Jaclyn was able to help us fine tune positioning for nursing, work through some side preferences for head turning and rolling and from there address some oral problems.
She helped us find the right help from the right professionals and worked closely with the other pros on my baby’s care team. With Jaclyn’s support and guidance we were able to identify an undiagnosed tongue tie and worked with a dentist to correct it. I firmly believe that our outcome from the procedure was so great because of the OT we did leading up to it. I know it’s not always an immediate change but it was for us. My baby was latching better from the first nursing session after the procedure.
Jaclyn continued to support us through the healing process and even helped us get started with solid foods and straw cups. Maybe most importantly, she made me feel supported and validated my new mom instincts when I doubted them. I would highly recommend Jaclyn to anyone who needs help with feeding issues small or big.

Jaclyn was a life saver for our family. She did so much more for our family than being a food therapist. She made recommendations to help us in every aspect of our struggles. Our boy made huge strides towards a balanced diet because of Jaclyn. We can’t thank her enough- highly recommend her.

Ms. Jaclyn was so helpful in building skills to be able to deal with difficult situations, and to also help our daughter when her sensory limits were being pushed. In addition, Jaclyn has not only helped us identify the reasons why my daughter has had taste and textural sensitivities toward certain foods, but she's also helped increase the number of foods my daughter is willing to try tenfold. Because of the tools Jaclyn has given us over these last two years, we are all able to walk through life with far less stress and anxiety.
